Mission & Goals
Apollo Elementary PTA
Mission Statement:
The Apollo Elementary
PTA’s mission is to encourage and support a positive school
environment with our students, staff, families and community
as we strive to be advocates for programs and policies that
nurture youth and education. We do this by sponsoring and
funding programs, recruiting and mentoring volunteers, and
working in collaboration with the Apollo staff.
Our goals for the 2011-2012 school year:
1. Obtain 100% PTA Membership this school year through
providing benefits with membership and promoting corporate memberships to
ensure that every child at our
school has adult representation and voice.
2. To achieve net income of $30,000 by fundraising
with 4 primary fundraisers including Pass the Hat, Scrip, Entertainment Books and
Rocket-thon. With monies raised
we will continue to support students, staff and families by funding programs and events that benefit
Apollo
students and the community.
3. Expand our volunteer base by welcoming new people
to take on volunteer opportunities.
4. Sponsor family fun nights and social events that
strengthen relationships between Apollo staff, students and families, and the community
by hosting events such as
Back to School BBQ, Multi-Cultural Night and Spring Fling.
