Apollo Elementary PTA Mission Statement:

 

 The Apollo Elementary PTA’s mission is to encourage and support a positive school environment with our students, staff, families and community as we strive to be advocates for programs and policies that nurture youth and education.  We do this by sponsoring and funding programs, recruiting and mentoring volunteers, and working in collaboration with the Apollo staff.

Our goals in achieving our mission include:

 

1)    100% PTA Membership.

2)    Transitioning our fundraising efforts to create long-term financial benefits for Apollo students while lessening the burden on families and other contributors.

3)    Educating the school community on where our fundraising dollars are spent via the following venues:  Meet the Teacher, Curriculum Night, First day of school assembly, Rocket Review and website.

4)    Giving school administration and staff financial and tangible support to meet classroom and other needs (i.e., teacher and specialist grants, emergency preparedness, materials purchased for music and the library, and funds for P.E. and playground equipment).

5)    Acknowledging the efforts of students, staff and volunteers and supporting their endeavors through Golden Acorn Awards, Teacher Appreciation Week and Luncheon.

6)    Encouraging and strengthening community relationships not only between Apollo staff, students and families, but also with the greater community through social events and family fun nights.

7)    Establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses.

8)    Supporting education as a whole by participating with state government, specifically through our legislative liaison.
